KNET Water brings together the combined industrial, scientific and water management competencies of Austria and its neighbours in the name of sustainable water use. By employing a common research programme and intensive collaboration and communication, we are able to create and expand know-how through joint effort, particularly the know-how of our commercial partners. This increases the international competitiveness of our network partners on the one hand, while lending scientific support to the development of the Austrian water market on the other.

Uniting complementary competencies
KNET Water brings business and research partners more closely together. Using the scientific competence of their research partners, companies in the water service industry, as well as in mining, road construction and tourism, are able to realise ever greater gains in their own competence; these in turn are increasingly turning their research to the business partners' practical needs. In the end, competencies will have converged to the point where new business areas can be entered jointly, where systemic solutions can be provided instead of one-off stop-gap measures, and where joint ventures become attractive.
