The Waterpool network generates research results directly by avoiding redundant and expensive parallel research, and by bringing together complementary competencies. Waterpool brings together the combined industrial, scientific and water management competencies of Austria and its neighbours in the name of sustainable water use. Active knowledge transfer and brisk exchange are the preconditions of a functional, active network. Using research programmes and intensive collaboration and communication, we are able to create and expand know-how through joint effort. This increases the international competitiveness of network partners, lends scientific support to the development of the water market, and assures future research competence.
