“Waterpool – Kompetenznetzwerk Wasserressourcen GmbH” was established in December 2003 as a subsidiary of “JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH” in the framework of the Austrian Federal Government's technological offensive.

The following sources of public funding support the Waterpool Competence Network during the phasing out:
